World Book Day is coming up on March 2nd, which is a great excuse to get out the dressing up box!
HERE ARE SOME OF THE MOST CREATIVE OUTFITS OF 2016. WE SALUTE YOU, TEACHERS!
The special day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and - most importantly – it’s a celebration of reading.
And to help celebrate, schools up and down the country will be encouraging your little ones and their teachers to dress up as their favourite book characters. Because what student wouldn't want to be taught at school by their teacher who's dressed up as Hagrid from Harry Potter?
If you ask us, there really is no better way to help inspire your kids to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of reading than to get their teacher to dress up as a wacky book character.
So, to help get your wordsmiths into the swing of things, we’ve rounded up a selection of the best outfits from last year that teachers pulled out of the bag. From characters taken from Roald Dahl’s classic novel Matilda, to the famous and well-loved Where's Wally? books - here are some of the most creative outfits of 2016. We salute you, teachers.
Where's Wally?
There he is! And by the looks of things, this Where's Wally character is hard at work. You can get a Where's Wendy or Where's Wally outfit here.

'My mummy thinks they're sweet' said Amanda Thripp
Ah, how could we forget about poor little pigtail-loving Amanda Thripp from Roald Dahl's much-loved tale, Matilda. In perhaps one of the most memorable scenes, four-year-old Amanda is targeted by the terrifying Miss Trunchbull- because of her cute blonde pig tails.
Harry Potter is all grown up
Full of mystery, magic and wonderful words like ‘muggle’ Harry Potter has become the wizardry tale we'll never forget!

Say hello to grandma
We came across these terrific teachers, who are dressed up as Grandma Georgina and Grandma Josephine from Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and thought they looked amazing! Plus it goes to show that sometimes World Book Day isn't all about the main character!
Everyone loves Hagrid
"You're a wizard, Harry", said one of our favourite characters from Harry Potter.
