Wowsers. There was certainly no shortage of drama in the 89th year of Hollywood’s most coveted award ceremonies.
The biggest shocker had to be the closing moment. Faye Dunaway announced La La Land had won ‘Best Picture’, only to be corrected a few moments later that the real winner was actually Moonlight. Whoops. La La Land did end up winning 6 of its 14 nominations, so that probably helped soften the blow a tad.
