This January, George at Asda have welcomed a brand-new interior collection by famed singer and West End star, Louise Redknapp! The stylish Love Louise collection will sit among George's spring/summer 2020 range and includes a number of beautiful pieces available at affordable prices.
So, if you're looking to give your home a new look this year, but don't want to break the bank, this collection is for you.
The 27-piece edit offers lavish items to fancy-up your living spaces, bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen areas at fantastic prices, so you can buy a few items at a time and make a real change to your home.
Think ornate throws, gold-rimmed glasses, woven baskets and Art Deco-inspired dinner sets. The collection is now available online for all, however if you're unsure on where to start, don't worry, Louise has carefully selected some of her favourite items for us:
art deco fan dinner set
A fresh dinner set is a simple way to liven up your kitchen and eating areas. The below set takes inspiration from the Art Deco movement, parading a flush pink and white pattern. The set includes 12 items to welcome to your table.
brushed gold cutlery set
Is there anything more lavish than gold cutlery? Not only will these complement any dinner set in the Love Louise range, but will also suit any plates you have available.
gold hoop table lamp
Gorgeous in a living space, bathroom, or on your beside table, this gold hoop table lamp will add welcomed light to any corner or space.
Alongside the release of her new edit, we get personal with Louise and talk everything from fitness regimes to self-care, and clever storage solutions too. Louise's five expert tips on how to make a comfy home are also well worth trying for yourself!
What things do you always make time for?
Nights out with friends. I love a good catch up and finding out what’s going on in their lives.
Do you have a regular fitness regime?
I try to go to the gym three times a week. I meet with a friend and make it more of a social activity by going for a coffee. It also makes me less likely to skip it.
How about self-care?
I have a lovely spiritual healer and I’m more likely to spend a couple of hours with her than I am relaxing at home with a face mask. I come away recharged and feeling I can cope with whatever life brings.
Must-haves in your fridge?
I have two boys so there’s always pizza for when they are late back from school.
Interior design style?
I like modern and simple but with a bit of a retro Victorian feel thrown in.
Do you have any clever storage solutions?
Yes, the garage. My house is pretty spotless as you walk in, but open a cupboard and everything falls out. If you didn’t know me, you’d think my life was well put together – just don’t open any doors...
Is it hard keeping the house tidy with two boys and your dogs?
You can’t move for trainers. Any mum will empathise because you say the same things again and again. Can you put your trainers away? Can you pick your coat up? But as I’m saying it, I’m doing it! I try to keep the dogs off the expensive sofa, which is the one they want to sit on, of course. At bedtime I have to cover it with the ironing board, or they’re straight up there!
LOUISE'S 5 WAYS TO CREATE A COMFY HOME:
ONE: LIGHT CANDLES
They give the place a nice ambience when people come over.
TWO: COLLECT BOOKS
It’s a lovely way to add character, and I like that they say something about you.
THREE: CREATE A HOME HUB
If you have space, make the kitchen somewhere people can chat to you while you cook.
FOUR: FILL BOWLS WITH FRUIT
I’m no good at keeping plants, but big bowls of fruit look good and the kids are more likely to help themselves.
FIVE: ADD SOFT FURNISHINGS
My boys feel happy curled up with comfy cushions and throws, so are less likely to sit in their bedrooms.
