Madame Tussauds dresses the royal family in ugly Christmas jumpers

'Tis the season for ugly Christmas jumpers and now even the royal family have gotten in on the holiday fun! Well, sort of...

Madame Tussauds unveiled a special version of the group's wax figures today, with each member of the family donning a very festive Christmas jumper. That's right, you can now see The Queen dressed in a festive woolly pully (featuring one of her beloved Corgis of course).

The exhibit isn't just for our viewing pleasure, however (although what a pleasure it is!). The royal family gave permission for Madame Tussauds to dress their figures in the festive garb in honour of the charitable Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, which takes place on December 16.

Don't you just love Kate and Wills' shared jumper? And what about Prince Harry's penguin-adorned number?

The Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign encourages people to wear their favourite novelty sweaters and donate to the organisation that helps 'give children a healthy start'.

No word on whether we'll see our favourite royals donning their ugly Christmas jumpers in real life though! We can only hope...

These festive royal wax figures will be on display for the rest of December at Madame Tussauds. Head on down to the exhibit and make like Holly Willoughby and take a selfie with Queenie!
