Finally, it's Christmas Day and the presents have been unwrapped, the turkey has been gobbled up, and the only thing left to do is relax in the living room with the remains of your chocolate orange. But instead of watching some of the amazing telly on offer, someone suggests that you all play a family-friendly board game instead.
"Let's play Monopoly – it will be fun!" they say. Except that's not always the case, is it?
Before you know it, there will be arguing about the rules, accusations of cheating, stealing from the bank and more! Your normally so civil family and friends will be transformed into a disagreeable, yelling, sulky group indeed.
At Christmas we always get together as a family and play games like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and Ticking Timebomb of Resentment— Craig Deeley (@craiguito) December 20, 2016
But wait, there's hope!
Hasbro, the makers of the classic real estate game, have launched a Monopoly helpline to mediate board game-related fights this Christmas. No more festive fall-outs, hooray!
Here's the number you can ring between 24th – 26th December. Save it now and thank us later…

Craig Wilkins, Marketing Director of Hasbro UK & Ireland said: 'We'll have experts on hand with the official rulebooks to instantly settle any disputes, and advice on how to resolve common complaints, with each person also having the opportunity to make a donation to Childline when they call.'
Even if your family can get through the game peacefully, you might want to give the Monopoly helpline a call - it turns out that we've been playing the real estate game all wrong! Apparently we've been making up our own rules and not following the game's instructions properly. Who knew?
