6 timeless ways to style up your home before Christmas

You’ve put your Christmas wreath up, with the all-important tree and mistletoe to come – so what’s missing? This season, why not invest in some timeless home accessories which you can use again and again for Christmas and beyond.

Finishing touches like pillows, ornaments and candles let you sprinkle a touch of Christmas throughout your home without the hefty price tag.

Or, you could bring a touch of glamour to your dining table by adding some classic rose-gold cutlery, lanterns and new photo frames. Items like these can help to enhance your Christmas decorations, without you having to make any major updates to your home.

Here's how to dust a little bit of Christmas magic over your home without breaking the bank.

1. Sophisticated silver

There's no such thing as too much bling during the Christmas period, so this season why not try a silver colour scheme?

You could light up your home with this enchanting Christmas tree light, or add a touch of sparkle to your home with these fabulous twig lights which can be placed in a small box or a vase to bring some festive joy to a plain or empty corner.

And why not try placing a lanternLED Christmas tree light or a snow globe on your dining table or mantlepiece?

2. Glittering gold

Gold is a classic Christmas colour but it’s also versatile, so can be used all year round.

You could add a touch of glamour to your dining table with these gold place mats, light up a dark corner with this letter lamp or make a striking centrepiece with this vase.

We absolutely love these traditional nutcracker table decorations which come with a white and glittery gold-tone uniform, a crystal sword, tufts of white faux fur at the sleeves and a charming little hat to top it all off. You could make them the centrepiece of your table or place them on your shelves to crown your white and gold colour scheme for the season.

3. Sleek monochrome

Pair black and white accents to create a classic and sophisticated look. Get cosy with a plush throw, add some comfort to your home by throwing an extra pillow onto your couch, or show off your Christmas family photos in these quirky photo frames

4. Mirror, mirror on the wall

Not only do they open the room and make it look bigger, but adding a mirror also helps to decorate your space instantly.

This French Ornate mirror comes in white or silver and would make a great centrepiece for any living room or bedroom, hung above a mantlepiece or fireplace and you could place a festive garland around the top for the ultimate Christmas look.

5. Candles

Who doesn’t love a scented candle? You could make your home even more festive with these orange and cinnamon scented candles or sprinkle some ‘holiday magic’ with this Home Inspiration Yankee candle which is bursting with bayberry, clove, cinnamon and balsam fir.

Or, for a candle which you can use all year round (and doesn't make you think of Christmas every time you light it) try this golden vanilla one

6. Bedding and nightwear

As the nights draw in and the weather begins to get colder and colder, there is nothing better than getting into a nice warm bed in your comfies.

You could style up your home with this fairy story duvet set (pictured left), or really inject some Christmas decoration into your bedroom with this snowy scene.

And your little ones will love wearing these pyjamas as much as the Cookie Monster loves to eat cookies. It’s brushed lining is there for extra warmth during the wintry weather.
