Having a baby is a very exciting time for any mother, but most of the time we can roughly plan for when the day comes, and ensure we are somewhere comfortable when the waters break.
But BBC Breakfast's business news presenter Victoria Fritz had only just come off the air when her baby decided to make his arrival – a few weeks earlier than planned.
The business news presenter was on-air one minute, talking about easyJet's latest figures, then went into labour the next, shortly after filming.
Fortunately her team were around to help, and her fellow presenter Sally Nugent accompanied her to St Mary's Hospital in Manchester.
When Sally heard that Victoria’s husband was still stuck in traffic on the M6 motorway, she said she would stay with her at the hospital until he arrived.
But her husband wasn’t able to arrive on time so she found herself at the birth, and Sally ended up being birthing partner for the arrival of her son.
The baby had been due to arrive in early December.
In a tweet, Fritz told of her "heartfelt thanks" to Nugent and hospital medics:
Also writing on Twitter, Nugent gave her "huge congrats" to Fritz:
BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker joked that he did not think all viewer suggestions for baby names were appropriate:
