The New BFG Trailer Is Here And It’s Even Bigger Than Expected

The first full trailer for Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Roald Dahl's The BFG has arrived! Together with Disney, the famous director is bringing the classic children's book to life. Every child remembers the story of orphan Sophie, who becomes friends with a big friendly giant (BFG) and visits the wonderful land of the giants.

But all is not well in this magical place. Together Sophie and BFG have to work together to defeat the bigger (and meaner) giants who want to gobble up little boys and girls.

Catch a glimpse of these very scary and very large giants towards the end of the BFG trailer below.

With the soon-to-be-released Jungle Book film, it seems like there’s a real trend at the moment for Hollywood adaptations of children’s books.

But from the looks of the brilliant new BFG trailer, we’re not complaining! With incredible special effects and the vocal talents of actor Mark Rylance (who won this year's Oscar for best actor), it looks like the film will be every bit as imaginative and magical as the book was when we first read it many years ago.

We can't wait to watch the film when it hits the big (sorry) screen this July, two months before Roald Dahl's would-be 100th birthday.

Can't wait until this summer? Pick up a new film for the weekend in Asda's DVD section.
