Last year, Children in Need, the BBC's UK charity, raised its highest total ever - a record breaking £55million - to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK.
Go behind the scenes of your favourite BBC shows like Poldark, or fly a plane, from the comfort of your sofa!
The 2016 fundraising campaign promises to be even bigger and better.
Once again, Asda staff and customers will be doing everything they can to support the charity. Asda has been a proud partner of BBC Children in Need for over a decade, helping to raise over £10 million in that time.
And this year people will be able to discover a whole new world of experiences thanks to Pudsey Virtual Reality.
Pudsey Virtual Reality
PudseyVR lets you go behind the scenes of your favourite BBC shows like Poldark, fly a plane, ride a rollercoaster, or meet the meerkats, all from the comfort of your sofa!
To experience Children in Need in a totally new way, all you need to do is pick up your PudseyVR box (below) for just £4. You can purchase one of the special PudseyVR headsets from 256 Asda supercentres nationwide (subject to availability).
How to use:
1. Download the free YouTube app on your phone (available on iPhones and Android) and search for the BBCiN channel.
2. Find the PudseyVR playlist.
3. Choose a video. We recommend 'Meet the Meerkats':
4. Click the magic VR button on the bottom right of the screen.
5. Unfold your PudseyVR viewer and insert your phone.
6. Get virtual!
Or, maybe we should just let Peter Andre explain it:
Go on, it's great fun for all the family!
Meanwhile, this year's appeal show will take place on Friday 18 November with joint presenters Graham Norton, Tess Daly, Greg James, Ade Adepitan, Rochelle Humes and Marvin Humes and a whole host of surprises including an exclusive preview of the Doctor Who Christmas special episode.
The theme for Asda on the night will be Pudsey's Big Night In. In other words, grab your Pudsey onesies, T-shirts (see below), socks, pyjamas and headbands (or all of the above?) and get ready to cosy up on the sofa for a night of laughter, entertainment and fundraising.
Please note that PudseyVR headsets should not be used by children without adult supervision. The VR/360 experience is designed for and suitable for people 16 years old or older. You can find more safety information here.
