The Sweetest Celebrity Quotes About Parenthood Ahead Of Father’s Day

Father's Day is just around the corner (Sunday, June 19th) but that doesn't mean we can't start celebrating dads everywhere now! Especially ones who are so adorable and clearly in love with their children - and not afraid to say it. We've rounded up some of the sweetest celebs who just can't help but gush over how amazing their children are and being a father is. These dad quotes are guaranteed to make you go, 'awwww!'

From singer Chris Martin's funny insights about changing nappies to Hollywood star Brad Pitt talking about being there for his kids, these dad quotes show what fatherhood is all about. And just in case these heart-warming dad quotes aren't enough to make you swoon, we've included a few uplifting pics as well. Get ready for cuteness overload...

David Beckham

The iconic footballer and father-of-four told The Mirror, 'In my career there’s many things I’ve won, and many things I’ve achieved. But my greatest achievement is my family. What matters is being a good father and a good husband – just being connected to family as much as possible. Being a dad is more important than football, more important than anything.' Here he is calling his eldest son, Brooklyn, 'a perfect gentleman' a 'big boy' - does it get any cuter?

Channing Tatum

Just when you thought leading man Channing Tatum couldn't get any sexier (can we get a Magic Mike 3, please?), he reveals some serious truths about being a father. Back when his daughter Everly was born in 2013,  Channing said: 'I've never protected the president [in real life], but I have been a new dad, and I can tell you that being a new dad is pretty terrifying. I'm pretty sure that something about the president makes the stakes a little higher, but to me as a new father, nothing is more important or scary than protecting a daughter.' Channing is also a pretty amazing husband, as his recent instagram feed shows...

I took this just days after jenna and I (mostly jenna) brought our little girl into the world. I've taken many like it over the past 3 years but this is one of my favorites. She was so tired. Haha. But she has such deep strength and other worldly grace. Watching her in those first days transform into a mother was life changing. She was every bit the beautiful, sexy, funny, flawed creature I fell in love with. But the prism turned and showed a whole new light that I had no idea existed, the light of a mothers love. Thank you for that baby. Saw this quote today --" The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother. Theodore Hesburgh" there are a lot of important things in being a father. Who knows what the most important thing is? All I know is that in my case this is pretty high on my list. Love you cake!

Chris Martin

We love musician and father-of-two Chris Martin's outlook on changing nappies. 'Men should always change diapers,' he said. 'It's a very rewarding experience. It's mentally cleansing. It's like washing dishes, but imagine if the dishes were your kids, so you really love the dishes.' Get it? Erm, sort of. But there's no mistaking how much Chris loves his brood - see him blowing a kiss to daughter Apple while performing in Barcelona recently:

Robbie Williams

But the Coldplay musician isn't the only one who loves changing nappies! 'I am on nappy patrol,' Robbie Williams revealed after the birth of his daughter Teddy (short for Theodora). 'I am nappy changer, chief nappy changer. I love it. I love burping her. I love feeding her and I love changing nappies. It's weird - I find it uniquely bonding,' he told Hello magazine. He shared this adorable snap on newborn Teddy on twitter back when she was born in 2012:

Will Smith

The 1997 smash hit, 'Just The Two Of Us' from actor/rapper Will Smith is all about the relationship between father and son, specifically Will Smith and his son Trey. Trey even features in the music video, along with other celebrity fathers like Muhammad Ali, Babyface and Nas. There are more than just a few lyrical gems in this touching song, starting with ‘From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms, I knew I'd meet death before I'd let you meet harm...’ Listen to the full track below.

Prince William

Back in 2014, Prince William spoke about his campaign, United for Wildlife, and revealed how being a dad has changed him: 'I feel a real protective instinct, more so now that I am a father, which is why I get emotional about it…' Bless him! And Prince George is shaping up to be every bit as adorable as his sweet mum and dad, if these royal portraits released for the Queen's 90th birthday are anything to go by...

Matthew McConaughey

Actor Matthew McConaughey has three adorable children with wife Camilla Alves, and credits being a father for changing his entire life outlook. Speaking in 2014, he revealed: '[Fatherhood] is the one thing I've always wanted to be... Never is a man more of a man than when he is the father of a newborn. You know what's important. I definitely got more selfish. And at the same time, I think I got more compassionate.' Here's a pic of Matthew's beautiful family, congratulating his wife on becoming an American citizen:

Michael Bublé

The Canadian crooner can't even put into words how amazing it is to be a father. '[Fatherhood is] the greatest thing that could ever happen. You can't explain it until it happens, it's like telling somebody what water feels like before they've ever swam in it.'

President Obama

During Barack Obama's 2012 acceptance speech, he addressed his daughters in the sweetest way saying: 'Sasha and Malia, before our very eyes you're growing up to become two strong, smart, beautiful young women, just like your mom. And I'm so proud of you guys.'

Thankful. #TBT

Brad Pitt

Reflecting on what parenthood means to him, Brad Pitt explained to American newspaper USA Today, that 'kids hold up a mirror to you....You can't make excuses. You've got to make sure they've brushed their teeth and eaten a good breakfast. You want to be present if they wake up with a bad dream.' How sweet!
