Easter is finally here bringing with it some sunshine, lots of chocolate and the school holidays.
Keeping the kids happy and occupied at home needn't cost a fortune
The long public holiday weekend is the perfect time to take a break from the stresses of daily life and get stuck in with entertaining the kids.
Days out with the whole family can be pricey, so there are plenty of amazing activities you can do at home that will keep them entertained for hours.
Whether your little ones love the outdoors, prefer being warm and cosy inside or love getting arty with lots of different crafts - there’s a range of interesting ways to keep them busy at home.
This Easter amuse the kids with our range of exciting ideas.
1. Treat them to a toy
Keep them away from screens with good old-fashioned toys! Help them get into the Easter spirit with this LEGO Easter Chick, treat Barbie to some hot new wheels with this scooter or let them battle it out at the generator core with this Star Wars set which features a catapult function and three mini-figurines.
2. Get them crafting
You could try making an Easter bunny hat by cutting out the middle of a paper plate and then glueing a pair of bunny ears on from the offcuts. Or try jazzing up your flower pots with some tissue paper, googly eyes and pens. Or get your creative little ones to decorate your home with Easter egg wreaths. To do this you'll need a paper plate with the middle cut out, then get them to create colourful mini Easter eggs from card, paper and coloured tissue.
3. Dive into some DVDs
Enjoy a movie afternoon when the skies are grey with some popcorn and the latest DVD releases like Trolls, Star Wars: Rogue One, Moana and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Not only will they love the films but you'll all be able to put your feet up and get some rest!
4. Get baking
5. Read some books
Let their imaginations run wild with our range of kids' books with the likes of Horrid Henry, Enid Blyton's Famous Five and Peppa Pig.
6. Get them outside
These toys are perfect if they've been cooped up inside all day as they'll be sure to burn off some energy! Any budding young golfers in your house? Or how about any aspiring archers? If so, this golf set and archery set will go down a treat. Or, if all else fails, send them outside with these bubble wands!
7. Get them Gardening
If your garden needs some TLC why not ask the kids to give you a hand at planting some flowers or planting pot plants? We've got some great gardening gear which they'll love using, including this bright pink watering can, colourful garden stakes and some plants which will help add a touch of sunshine to your garden - even if it is raining!
