There’s a Harry Potter-inspired B&B and it looks amazing

There’s a Harry Potter-inspired B&B and it looks amazing

Did you know it’s been 20 years since J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone first entered our lives?

We've taken inspiration from both the books and films to create our Wizard's Tea

And, coincidently, 2017 also marks 10 years since the seventh and final novel in the wonderful wizardry series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, first hit the bookshelves too.

We can’t quite believe where the time has gone either, but to celebrate the massive milestones a bed and breakfast in south west Wales has gone all out.

The Llety Cynin has been transformed into a magical Howarts-inspired haven, with Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw flags hanging from the ceiling.

And there, at the B&B in Carmarthenshire, muggles are able to dress up in Harry Potter-inspired robes and hats and sit down in the dining area, (which has been decorated like the Great Hall), to enjoy a Wizard Tea.

Thought that was impressive? Well you’ll love the fact that this Wizard Tea, which is inspired from both the books and films, is served in owl cages and comes complete with creations like hot butterbeer (like they drink in the wizardry world), gamekeeper rock cakes and there's even a trifle named after Harry's nightmarish aunt, Petunia.

On the children's afternoon tea menu, there's chocolate frogs, filled with a sugary surprise, sour lollipops and match-winning cake pops to get stuck into.

Commenting on the reason why the B&B decided to recreate their own mini Hogwarts in Wales, they said: "Throughout 2017, we’ll be serving our Wizard’s tea. Being huge fans of the wizarding world, we’ve been inspired by the Harry Potter series.

“Here at Llety Cynin, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as well as the 10th anniversary of the publication ofHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

“We’ve taken inspiration from both the books and films to create our Wizard’s Tea.

“We have spent the past few months researching, trialling, testing and tasting all sorts of delicious creations in the kitchen and are very excited to finally reveal the menu!”
