‘I'm delighted to be working with Food Network on this Christmas Show’
But while there’s no word on whether the BBC will indeed be cooking up a Bake Off replacement show, as has been suggested, James and Mary have teamed up nonetheless.
Talk about a kitchen dream team!
Treating us to a sneak peek via Instagram and Twitter, James took us all behind the scenes of his upcoming Christmas cookery show, Christmas With Friends.
A festive special set to air later this year, the show will be a two-parter which sees James whipping up some classic Christmas dishes - think Christmas pudding, beef wellington, the perfect roast turkey.
As well as being joined by a handful of viewers during the show, James has also invited a few of his best celebrity friends, of course, including baking queen Mary Berry.
Serving up their top Christmas cookery tips, James and his pals will be helping us all prepare ahead of time - on the 14 and 21 of November, in fact - so we’re ready to whip up our own festive feasts come December.
In a statement about the upcoming TV special, James has said: ‘I'm delighted to be working with Food Network on this Christmas Show. Christmas is a time of year when food takes centre stage for many, so I'm looking forward to celebrating some classic seasonal dishes and revealing some new festive food ideas, with an entertaining and eclectic mix of guests. It promises to be a lot of fun.’We can’t wait to tune in, but in the meantime, here’s a little preview of what’s been happening on set so far…
