Technology is developing faster and faster every year, but children never seem to have a problem keeping up with the latest advances or new platforms - unlike some of us adults!
Perhaps they have an unfair advantage over us grown-ups, seeing how many kids are taught IT in schools – and in some schools, teaching coding is commonplace. Lessons are developing at the same fast pace as the technology itself, leaving the grown-ups feeling a bit like dinosaurs sometimes!
But surely we have a better grasp of technology than an eight-year-old? You might be surprised...
An online quiz created by IT and support service company, Littlefish, has gone viral after many parents discovered they couldn't match the skills of their 8-year-old - eek! The online quiz compares your IT knowledge against that of a primary school child – and it's not as easy as it sounds!
Littlefish looked into what children are learning about computing in primary school, and wanted to see how grown-ups fare against the country's hi-tech youngsters. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the test has shown that many parents don't know nearly as much as their children! The test has put even teenagers' knowledge through its paces.
The age group that performed best (after 8 to 11-year-olds) are 45-54-year-olds. So, can you do better? Take the test now and good luck getting the better of your little nippers!
