Good things come to those who bake, according to Channel 4

Channel 4 has treated us to the first group photo of the new judges and presenters of this year’s The Great British Bake Off - and by the looks of the location, decoration, and edible creations, not much has changed!

Posting a picture up on the official The Great British Bake Off Facebook page, former Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood is seen smiling in his much-loved black shirt next to, restaurateur, presenter, and cookery writer Prue Leith. The pair are joined by comedian, writer, actor, presenter and producer, Sandi Toksvig and comedian, musician, writer and actor Noel Fielding.

In true The Great British Bake Off style, the group is pictured surrounded by cakes, strawberries and a string of red, white and blue bunting.

Seventy-six year old Prue will be stepping into the judging shoes of our beloved Mary Berry, while Noel and Sandi will be replacing former Bake Off hosts and our TV heroes Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

The future of The Great British Bake Off (as we knew it at least) with Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc at the helm, changed in September last year, after Bake Off creators Love Productions announced that they would be moving the show to Channel 4, with a reported £75 million three-year deal.

Mel and Sue were quick to denounce the move and Mary Berry confirmed shortly afterwards that she would also be stepping down as a GBBO judge. Despite fans’ concerns for the future of GBBO, Channel 4 has assured the nation that they’ll be sticking to the winning format.

Channel 4 has yet to announce when the new show will air, but we're hoping it will still have us sat on the edge of our seats every Wednesday night and end with us taking to Twitter to share our #GBBO feelings.

Feeling inspired to whip up some showstopping cakes in true GBBO style? Make sure you head into Asda or pop into your local store to pick up all your ingredients.
