Watch The Obamas Get Down To ‘Uptown Funk’ With Stormtroopers

Star Wars Day was celebrated around the world yesterday, with fans taking to social media to profess their love of the franchise and show off their Star Wars merchandise.

But one couple clearly had the best celebration of all – the Obamas. The Presidential pair released a hilarious video of the duo busting some serious dance moves with droid R2-D2 and two Stormtroopers while hit song 'Uptown Funk' by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson plays in the background.

"This is my favourite song, how did you know?" Michelle Obama says at the start of the video, as she claps and dances with her husband.

After a few moments, the President invites a Stormtrooper to join in on the fun. "Come on Storm Trooper, come on," he says. Then a second Stormtrooper joins in on the party and the president calls out, "Uptown Funk, baby."

We can't say we're too impressed with R2-D2 (the droid mostly just swivelled its dome from side to side) but those Obamas sure have some impressive dance moves!

In the tweet that was sent out along with the video, the White House said, "Dance. Or dance not. There is no try" - a funny pun on one of the best-remembered quotes from Star Wars.
