Bringing you the best animal news this week, from an island of 500 cats and a orangutan with some serious moves, to fluffy puppies who look SO different after a bath....
THE FURR SEASONS
Taking the cat café trend to a whole new level, the Lanai Cat Sanctuary in Hawaii is home to almost 500 felines available for fostering, adoption or just for cuddles. People travel from all over the world to this 25,000 square foot sanctuary located on the small Hawaiian island of Lanai, with one man reportedly flying all the way from Japan just to spend a single day in the sanctuary.
A haven for any cat-lover, cats aren’t confined to cages here, but are instead allowed to roam free. Visitors are welcome from 10a.m. to 3p.m everyday. What are you waiting for?
Bathtime may not be their favourite time of the month, but these pampered pooches look absolutely hilarious after they’ve had a dip. These cute puppies seem less than impressed by their owner’s decision to give them a wash (and by those dodgy hairstyles)... Check out these before and after shots for a good chuckle.
Think you might have perfected some cool moves for the dance floor? Think again. Because Melbourne Zoo have a monkey that can break dance. We’re not kidding... Dewi, a four-year-old Sumatran Orangutan was recently filmed showing off her epic dance moves at the zoo, using her foot to spin around on her back. It’s official, a monkey has better moves than us.
