As anyone with two small children knows, it can be tricky to find some down time and enjoy a moment to yourself. But happily, the Duchess of Cambridge manages to do just that! Prince William recently revealed that his wife likes to engage her creative side and enjoys colouring. Who knew?
Scottish illustrator Johanna Basford was picking up an OBE for services to art and entrepreneurship at Buckingham Palace, when Wills told her that Kate was a fan.
Speaking to The Express, Johanna said: "I think we’ve just seen the colouring community flourish.
"And Prince William actually said that his wife likes to colour in the Secret Garden, which was really sweet."
Johanna's first book, Secret Garden, has been hugely popular and sold millions of copies - including, it seems, one to the Duchess herself!
After picking up her award at Buckingham Palace, Johanna revealed that the regal location would inspire her next book.
Adult colouring books are an increasingly popular way to unwind, and often referred to as "colour therapy." In fact, a recent study showed that people who participate in arts and crafts experience a boost in mental wellbeing.
Do Prince George and Princess Charlotte colour with their mother, we wonder?
Make like Kate and embrace your artistic side with a fun colouring book.
