12 emotions anyone who has watched The Missing can relate to

Every Wednesday for the past seven weeks we’ve been held in suspense for an hour as the plot of BBC One’s epic drama, The Missing, has unravelled and left us increasingly baffled.

Who is Alice Webster?! Why did she identify the wrong man who abducted her? Will cancer-ridden detective Julien Baptiste uncover the whole truth before it’s too late?

All these questions and that’s not even the half of it!

If you’ve managed to somehow miss the whole of series two, the plot tells the tale of a young British woman who stumbles through the streets of Eckhausen in Germany and collapses.

She says her name is Alice Webster, who was abducted from the same town 11 years ago.  As the search for her abductor continues, Alice also appears to hold vital clues to the whereabouts of a second missing girl – Sophie Giroux – whose disappearance was investigated years ago by Baptiste.

Week after week, we’ve been left gawping as we learn something new about their disappearance and week after week we’ve come a little bit closer to finding out the truth.

But tonight, all will be revealed as it’s the finale (and we can’t wait!) To help you get into the spirit of things, we’ve rounded up some of the best tweets that sum up how we all feel about the roller-coaster ride that is The Missing.
