A decade after Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler both starred in Blades of Glory together, the pair have been reunited to play unorthodox parents in new comedy, The House.
"I’m not going to tell my daughter she can’t go to college, so we resorted to a life of crime"
In the new film, which is set to be released in June this year, the duo realise they don’t have enough money to pay for their daughter’s tuition fees, so they do what any loving parent would do – hatch a plan to get rich quick by resorting to a life of crime.
The couple start up their own under underground casino where there’s nail salons, casino rooms, a strip club and even fight nights! Because how else would they make four years worth of tuition fees in a month?
In the trailer funnyman Will says: “When I became a dad, I made a choice to support my daughter’s dreams.
“I’m not going to tell my daughter she can’t go to college, so we resorted to a life of crime.
“We gotta lie, that’s what parents do. Cos otherwise the kids are gonna realise we don’t know what we’re doing.”
The new realease is written and directed by Andrew Jay Cohen, whose other credits include work on Bad Neighbours, Bad Neighbours 2, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
The House premieres June 30.
