There’s still time to get your application in for £20,000 a year gin taster job

Imagine being paid to travel the world and taste gin.

Well, you can stop imagining it, because that dream job actually exists.

ILoveGin is currently offering what they're calling (and who are we to argue?) the 'word's best internship'.

Their Gintern will get to travel around the UK and parts of Europe discovering and sampling new gins.

The hours are flexible so you can work from home but the successful candidate will need to be available to travel - as ILoveGin explains: "one day you might be up in Edinburgh tasting a new craft gin, the next going to a launch event in London for a new tonic water."

The internship is part-time and will take up about two days each week. It's set to last six months, paying £20,000 per year, pro-rata. And, after those six months, ILoveGin say they 'may offer' the lucky individual a full-time role.

The deadline for applications was initially 16 September, but they have now extended it to the New Year, after being overwhelmed with interest.

ILoveGin told the Manchester Evening News: "We were so overwhelmed with demand that we couldn't work through them all before Christmas. We're looking to re-start the (vetting) process and hire someone in early 2017."

Which means there's still time to add your CV to the pile.

The successful candidate must be over-18, able to travel and love sampling new gins and tonics.

If that sounds like you, just head to the website to apply.

Good luck!
