Candy floss ice cream is now a thing – and we can’t wait to try it

A London ice cream parlour has sparked a brilliant new foodie trend that’s set to take over the summer, pairing two delicious sweet treats together for the dessert of dreams.

We're off to try this at home! Who's with us?

Yep, that is indeed puffy, fluffy candy floss you can see wrapped around that ice cream cone below.

Milk Train Café in London’s Covent Garden specialises in gourmet soft serve ice cream with a Japanese twist. But along with its three ice cream flavours – vanilla, matcha and hojicha – customers also have the choice of dressing up their ice cream with some seriously tasty toppings.

From popcorn and chocolate biscuit chunks to rice puffs, strawberries and more there’s plenty of ice cream inspiration going on here! Along with, of course, the candy floss cone add-on.

After seeing these, we can’t help but think all ice cream cones should come dressed in a sugary sweet cloud of cotton candy.

Naturally, these photogenic treats are causing quite a stir on social media, with the candy floss cones quickly taking over Instagram...
