Along with lie ins, weekends give you the perfect chance to switch up your usual go-to breakfast for something more indulgent and delicious. Think Instagram-worthy runny yolks on sourdough, multicoloured smoothie bowls topped with perfectly sliced bananas and don't forget a steaming hot pot of freshly brewed coffee.

Fingers crossed the sun stays out for the weekend so you can take your cushions outside and enjoy the 'most important meal of the day' al fresco. And don't forget to lay the table with jugs and glasses of orange juice, big pots of tea so you can keep everyone topped up and big bowls to fill with granola or smoothie.

Sweet, juicy and in season - peaches are the perfect topping to add to your toast. This totally tropical topping, together with passion fruit and crème fraîche, is wonderful on buttery brioche and goes well with a hot cuppa too.

Having a lazy family Sunday? These bagels are ideal for the whole family to enjoy on a Sunday mid morning. Get the kids to help prepare the rocket and prosciutto and sundried tomato filling, then enjoy all together in the garden.


3. Dairy-free poppy seed and banana pancakes

Pancakes are always a winner and these rather tasty banana pancakes are no exception. Made with coconut milk and dairy-free yogurt, they're also perfect for anyone following a dairy-free diet. If you've got different fruit in the house, chop it up and pile on top.
