Great news for Bake Off fans! GBBO 2015 champion and baking queen, Nadiya Hussain, has released a children’s book and the concept is sweeter than sticky toffee pudding.

Why not whip up some delicious butter-bean patties and then enjoy the tale of Jack and the Bean-Patty Stalk?

Nadiya’s Bake Me a Story combines two of her greatest loves - baking (of course) and fairy tales. Her beautiful book is filled with her favourite recipes that are based around her very own tweaked fables. Featuring yummy treats, gripping stories and vibrant illustrations, we’re certain that this lovely children’s book will become a new family favourite.

Get little ones into the kitchen to help you bake Nadiya's autumnal pumpkin and spice flapjacks and then while they’re baking, curl up with the tale of Cinderella and her pumpkins. Or whip up some delicious butter-bean patties and then enjoy the tale of Jack and the Bean-Patty Stalk.

Bake Me a Story is available now in-store at Asda, but if you just can’t wait to get your oven mitts on a copy then watch the video below and cook along with Nadiya to make her scrumptious berry muffins.

Britain’s favourite baker and mother-of-three first came on to our screens back in 2015, when she was a contestant on The Great British Bake Off. Since winning the show, she has gone on to star in her own cookery and travel show, The Chronicles of Nadiya (brilliant title!), released a cookbook for adults, Nadiya's Kitchen, been a judge on Junior Bake Off, and delighted our bellies with mouthwatering recipes and treats.

Speaking to Asda’s Good Living magazine, Nadiya shared what inspired her to create her children’s cookbook.

‘I’d find myself sat on our kitchen floor while cooking, reading to my kids, and thought it’d be fun to rewrite fairy tales with recipes in, so we could read and bake together.’

Isn’t that sweet? And it turns out that Nadiya’s kids even helped her test the recipes!

‘They analysed every part of my bakes. They’re brutally honest. It’s like living with Paul and Mary!’

Well, we’re certain that both Bake Off judges (and everyone else) will fall in love with Nadiya’s Bake Me a Story. Pick up your copy now, in store at Asda
