The ultimate list of wine pairings for every foodie occasion

Some things in life just work better together, and great food and even greater wine are one of them.

When it comes to pairing wine and food, it's all about enhancing the dining experience and choosing vinos and dishes that complement each other, rather than overpowering one another.

Mighty meaty dishes, like a barbecued burger, can take on heavier and more richer wines. Whilst movie nights with sweet treats (think: chocolate or popcorn) would go down a treat with a sweeter or lightweight tipple.

Whatever meal moment you are enjoying this season, we've got a range of wines perfect to pair them with.

Best for BBQs

Hardys Crest Chardonnay White

Price: £5.50*

Light, fruity and fresh this Australian Chardonnay from Hardys Crest is full of peachy flavours with an underlying oaky finish. This makes it a match made in tastebud heaven for barbecued chicken dishes or seafood that's been on the barbie.

Pair with: Fish and chicken dishes you've barbecued.
