Just when you thought you’d cracked your poached egg-making skills, a new way to cook the humble breakfast staple appears.
The white part of the egg looks like a fluffy cloud while the yolk looks like the sun
For years, images of beautifully cooked eggs sitting on top of some smashed avocado and a piece of crusty sourdough bread have been seen popping up all over Instagram.
And the same could be said for videos of runny yolks spilling their yellowy goodness onto a plate.
But all that might be about to change, because there's a new (and rather cute-looking) way to cook your eggs. Enter cloud eggs.
The latest food creation, which brunch and breakfast-lovers everywhere are going crazy for, helps to bring a touch of fun to our food.
You can decorate it with seeds, add some spinach or place some cheese on top.
How to make cloud eggs
Cloud eggs are made by separating the white and yolk of the egg. You then whisk up the egg white (along with any added extras of your choice like herbs seasoning etc) and bake in the oven, leaving a little whole in the middle for the yolk. After a few minutes, add the yolk, bake again for a few minutes and hey presto. You're on cloud nine.
