Imogen says...

'I started cooking with my mum when I was about eight, and now I'm confident enough to create my own meals. The spices I used today are the basis of so many Bangladeshi dishes, and I love how many different things you can make with them. Use chicken, like I did, try beef, or make it veggie. Yummy!'

Imogen's mini interview

Did you learn anything on your day at Asda's Kids' Kitchen?

I learnt from Gregor, the food editor, that if you use a smaller knife to cut and chop, you have much more control and it's safer. Mum liked that tip!

When did you get into cooking? Who taught you to cook?

My mum's the cook in our family. She makes a really delicious spaghetti Bolognese. I started cooking with her when I was about eight.

Do you still cook together now?

I really like it when it's just me in the kitchen, thinking of all the ingredients that will work well together.

Do you do any baking?

I don't have a sweet tooth so I find savoury dishes more fun to cook.
