Who or what inspires your cooking?
I get my inspiration from my mum as she’s a brilliant cook. She rustles up a mean curry but is also great at cakes. If I get half of her skill in the kitchen, I’ll be delighted. I’m a big fan of Jamie Oliver, too. I love the energy and passion he puts into his food – he always gives it 100%.
Where do you get your recipe ideas from?
I like to get ideas from cookbooks and am happy to follow a recipe, although sometimes I prefer to make it up as I go along!
What did you learn from cooking in the Asda Kids' Kitchen?
I enjoyed this day so much! Food editor Gregor and the team were really supportive, which helped me feel more confident and has inspired me to keep cooking. I’d really like to be a chef when I’m older... but then again, I’d like to be a drummer, too. Maybe a drumming chef!
Does your child love to cook? Then they could be creating their favourite dish especially for Asda Magazine! We’re looking for kids aged 5-14 to show us their own unique take on a simple family classic and show off their kitchen skills – with our professional food team on hand to assist, of course. They’ll get to see their creation in Asda Magazine, on Asdagoodliving.co.uk and across our social media channels.
So if your little kitchen star has what it takes, we want to hear from you. Get in touch today – and we could make the magic happen!
