Bacon-wrapped onion rings
- 1 medium white onion
- 2tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1tbsp thyme leaves
- 12-16 rashers thin-sliced rindless smoked bacon
- Asda Maple & Bacon Flavour Ketchup, to serve
Preheat the oven to 220C/ 200C Fan/Gas 7. Slice the onion into 2cm rings and pick out 8 large ones – freeze the rest to use later.
Brush each ring with the Dijon mustard and sprinkle with the thyme leaves.
Lay each rasher of bacon on a board and stretch with the back of a knife. Wrap round the onion rings and secure with cocktail sticks. Cook on a baking tray for 20-30 mins until the bacon is crisp and the onion is soft. Serve with the ketchup.
