Ingredients
  • 10g unsalted butter
  • 7 slices bloomer loaf, sliced
  • 100g raspberries
  • 100g blueberries
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 400ml semi-skimmed milk
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 160C/140C Fan/Gas 3. Grease an ovenproof dish with the butter.

  • Arrange the slices of bread, overlapping, in the dish. Scatter over the raspberries and blueberries.

  • Lightly beat together the eggs and milk until evenly blended. Pour over the slices of bread.

  • Bake for 40 mins or until golden brown and set in the middle. Rest for 5 mins before serving.
