Enjoy these easy desserts whilst staying at home

When you're short of time but want to whip up something impressive and tasty for dessert, it's a good idea to have a few simple recipes in your repertoire. 

This is where shop-bought items that you can spruce up – meringues, for example – come in. A drizzle of fruit coulis plus a scattering of berries, and you've got yourself a pretty spectacular after-dinner treat that is easily fancy enough for your guests. 

Here are a few of our favourite 'cheat it' recipes, to satisfy your sweet tooth – all with just four ingredients each…

Chocolate & Pistachio Pancake 'Cannoli'

Create these easy treats by spooning whipped cream onto pancakes and rolling up. Drizzle over melted mint chocolate and sprinkle with chopped pistachios… Could it be any easier?

You'll need:

  • Asda Fresh Whipping Cream, whipped
  • Asda 8 Sweet Pancakes
  • Extra Special Mint Dark Chocolate, melted
  • Asda Pistachios, chopped

Hot Cross Bun & Caramel Froyo

Make this frozen pud by mixing together the caramel and yogurt, then stir in the buns and biscuits. Freeze in a loaf tin, stirring every 2 hrs, until solid. Top with more caramel and biscuits.

You'll need:

  • Carnation Caramel
  • Asda Full Fat Greek Style Yogurt
  • Extra Special
  • Extra Fruity Hot Cross Buns, torn
  • Asda Ginger Nuts, crushed

Mini raspberry pavlovas 

For individual pavlovas in minutes, add dollops of crème fraiche to meringue nests, top with a few berries and drizzle over some raspberry topping.
