Ingredients
  • 200ml vegetable oil, plus extra for greasing
  • 3 medium bananas, peeled and halved lengthways
  • 2 x 250g packs Asda Free From Vanilla Flavour Sponge Mix
  • 3 x 25g packs Asda Free From Choc Buttons
  • 20g demerara sugar
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Grease and line a 20cm/1L loaf tin.

  • In a large bowl, mash 2 of the bananas and mix in the oil. Stir in the sponge mix and choc buttons, then pour into the loaf tin.

  • Push the remaining banana halves into the top, cut side up. Sprinkle over the sugar.

  • Bake for 1 hr 10 mins to 1 hr 20 mins, until the top springs back when lightly pressed. Cool in the tin for 10 mins, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into slices to serve.
