Cheat’s choc chip vegan banana bread
- 200ml vegetable oil, plus extra for greasing
- 3 medium bananas, peeled and halved lengthways
- 2 x 250g packs Asda Free From Vanilla Flavour Sponge Mix
- 3 x 25g packs Asda Free From Choc Buttons
- 20g demerara sugar
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Grease and line a 20cm/1L loaf tin.
In a large bowl, mash 2 of the bananas and mix in the oil. Stir in the sponge mix and choc buttons, then pour into the loaf tin.
Push the remaining banana halves into the top, cut side up. Sprinkle over the sugar.
Bake for 1 hr 10 mins to 1 hr 20 mins, until the top springs back when lightly pressed. Cool in the tin for 10 mins, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into slices to serve.
