Ingredients
  • 50g unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 2 x McVitie’s Jamaican Ginger Sticky Pudding Cake
  • 75g soft brown sugar
  • 25g golden syrup
  • 150ml double cream
  • 2tbsp Asda Fudge Chunks
  • 2tbsp Asda Triple Choc Curls
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C/Gas 4. Grease an ovenproof 30cm x 20cm baking dish with butter.

  • Cut the ginger cakes into 8 thick slices and arrange in the dish. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 15-20 mins.

  • In a pan set over a medium heat, add the butter, sugar and golden syrup and simmer until the sugar has melted, stirring frequently.

  • Reduce the heat, add the double cream and stir until fully combined. Simmer until you have a lovely toffee sauce. Remove from the heat to cool slightly.

  • Pour the sauce over the cake then sprinkle with the fudge and chocolate curls to serve.
