Ingredients
  • 300g plain flour
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon
  • 175g golden caster sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
  • Zest 1 orange
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 150ml buttermilk
  • 100ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 225g red grapes, halved
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 190C/170C Fan/Gas 5. Line a muffin tray with 12 muffin cases.

  • Sift the flour, baking powder and cinnamon into a large bowl. Stir in the sugar and orange zest.

  • Lightly beat together the butter, buttermilk, milk, eggs and vanilla. Gently stir in the grapes and flour mixture. Divide between the muffin cases, then sprinkle with a little caster sugar.

  • Bake for 25-30 mins. Cool slightly on a cooling rack before serving.
