- 750g potatoes
- 400g shredded cabbage
- 25g butter
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1 egg yolk
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 12 slices streaky bacon
Peel the potatoes and boil for 10 minutes.
Mash the potatoes with the butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Steam the cabbage until wilted. Drain and add to the mash with an egg yolk.
Shape into 12 patties and place on a baking sheet. Add half a slice of streaky bacon to each. Bake at 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6 for 20-25 minutes.
