Ingredients
  • 2 x 411g cans Asda Peach Halves in Fruit Juice, drained, reserving 100ml of the juice
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 250g plain flour
  • 1tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 sachet Dr. Oetker Cream of Tartar
  • 40g golden caster sugar
  • 40g butter, cubed
  • 150ml milk
  • To Serve (optional)
  • Icing sugar
  • 400g can Ambrosia Light Devon Custard
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7.

  • Put the peaches, juice and vanilla in a medium-sized ovenproof dish.

  • Stir the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Rub the butter in until it looks like breadcrumbs. Stir in the milk to form a dough.

  • Shape into rounds and place on the peaches. Bake for 25 mins until golden.

  • Dust with icing sugar and serve with custard, if using.
