Espresso martini

The espresso martini is traditionally topped with 3 espresso beans for 'good luck'

Espresso martini

  • Serves: 2

  • 70ml vodka
  • 70ml Tia Maria or Kahlúa
  • 1 shot cold espresso coffee
  • 10 ice cubes
  • 6 coffee beans to garnish
  • Put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake for at least 2 minutes. Shaking the mixture over the ice cools the ingredients and develops the attractive crema head.

  • Strain the cocktail through a sieve into two martini glasses (this helps create the head too), garnish with coffee beans and serve immediately.
