Ingredients
  • 500g cranberries
  • 1tbsp Cointreau (optional)
  • Zest and juice 1 orange
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2tbsp maple syrup
Method
  • Put the cranberries, Cointreau (if using) and the orange zest and juice in a pan, then bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Add the caster sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Add the maple syrup. Simmer for 4 mins or until the cranberries burst.

  • Transfer to a serving bowl and leave to cool completely.

  • TOP TIP: Cranberry sauce can end up with a skin on it by the time it reaches the table. To avoid that, let it cool in the pan, then give it a good stir before you spoon it into the serving bowl.
