Meatballs in spicy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
- 1 red pepper (or yellow pepper), de-seeded and sliced
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 400g can Asda Chopped Tomatoes with Chilli and Peppers
- 1 beef stock cube
- 400g pack Asda Beef Meatballs
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 225g tagliatelle
Heat the oil in a large pan, add the onion and cook until soft. Add the pepper and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Stir in the smoked paprika and chopped tomatoes. Dissolve the beef stock cube in 150ml hot water and add to the pan.
Heat until simmering, then add the meatballs, one at a time. Cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes.
Mix the cornflour with a little cold water to make a smooth paste. Stir into the sauce and simmer for 1 minute. Cook the tagliatelle following pack instructions, then spoon the meatballs and sauce on top.
