  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 red pepper (or yellow pepper), de-seeded and sliced
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 400g can Asda Chopped Tomatoes with Chilli and Peppers
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 400g pack Asda Beef Meatballs
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 225g tagliatelle
  • Heat the oil in a large pan, add the onion and cook until soft. Add the pepper and cook for a further 2 minutes.

  • Stir in the smoked paprika and chopped tomatoes. Dissolve the beef stock cube in 150ml hot water and add to the pan.

  • Heat until simmering, then add the meatballs, one at a time. Cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes.

  • Mix the cornflour with a little cold water to make a smooth paste. Stir into the sauce and simmer for 1 minute. Cook the tagliatelle following pack instructions, then spoon the meatballs and sauce on top.
