Mince pie old fashioned

  • 2tsp demerara sugar
  • ¼tsp finely grated lemon zest
  • 60ml bourbon
  • 30ml Cointreau
  • Good dash Angostura bitters
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • Cinnamon stick, to serve (optional)
  • Sprinkle the sugar on a place and gently stir through the lemon zest. Wet the rims of 2 tumblers with a little water and roll in the lemon sugar. Put a couple of ice cubes into each glass.

  • Add some ice to a cocktail shaker and pour over the bourbon, Cointreau, a good dash Angostura bitters and a generous pinch ground nutmeg. Shake for 1min and strain int the tumblers. Serve with a cinnamon stick (optional).
