Ingredients
  • 50g mushrooms
  • 25g butter
  • 1 large free-range egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 slices Asda Bakers Gold white bread
  • 1 dollop brown sauce (or ketchup)
Method
  • Pre-heat the grill. Carefully slice the mushrooms and put in a frying pan with 2 tsp of the butter. Cook over a medium heat, stirring occasionally, until they start to brown and shrink.

  • While the mushrooms are cooking, lightly beat the egg and milk together in a bowl. Melt 2 tsp of the butter in a pan, add the egg mixture and cook over a low heat, stirring all the time, until scrambled.

  • Spread one slice of bread with brown sauce or ketchup. Top with the mushrooms and the egg, then put the other slice of bread on top.

  • Thinly slice the rest of the butter on the outside of the bread. Grill the sandwich until crisp and golden all over.
