Pear & avocado salad
- 3 ripe dessert pears
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper
- 2 ripe avocados
- 2 baby gem lettuces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 100g Asda Extra Special Parma Ham, torn
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Halve, core and slice 3 ripe dessert pears. Heat 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in a pan. Add the pears to the pan and cook until golden. Season with black pepper.
Halve and stone 2 ripe avocados and spoon out small scoops of avocado flesh using a teaspoon.
Wash and tear the leaves of 2 baby gem lettuces. Place 1 tbsp olive oil in a large bowl. Gently toss in the lettuce leaves and avocado scoops and pile onto six serving plates.
Spoon the hot pears over the salad leaves and top with 100g torn Asda Extra Special Parma Ham. Finish by drizzling over 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar and serve straight away.
