Picnic sausage rolls
- 500g pack Jus Roll All Butter Puff Pastry, thawed
- Flour, for rolling out
- 454g pack Asda Extra Special Cumberland Sausages
- 1 medium free-range egg, beaten
Pre-heat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle 26cm x 36cm. cut in half lengthwise.
Make a shallow cut along the length of each sausage and peel off the skin. Lay the sausages, end to end, along the long side of the pastry, 3cm from the edge. Brush the other long side with egg.
Roll the pastry round the sausages. Cut each roll into eight. Put on a baking tray, join-side down, leaving a gap between each.
Make 2 small cuts in the top of each. Brush with egg and bake for 25 minutes.
