Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 1 apple, grated
  • 500g pork mince
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 3tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1tbsp chopped sage
  • Rolls and salad, to serve
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/ 180C Fan/Gas 6.

  • Fry the onion in the oil for 3-4 mins or until soft but not browned. Set aside to cool.

  • Squeeze any excess juice from the apple and put the flesh in a bowl with the mince, carrot, breadcrumbs, mustard and sage. Mix well – this is easiest if you use your hands.

  • Shape the pork mixture into 4 patties and cook in the oven on a baking sheet for 25-30 mins or until done all the way through – check the meat is not pink in the middle. Serve in the rolls with salad.
