Ingredients
  • 500g Asda Frozen Pork Steaks
  • 2 rashers Asda Smart Price Bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 sticks celery, sliced
  • 1 tsp Asda Dried Mixed Herbs
  • 300ml apple juice
  • 2 tsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Asda Course Grain Mustard
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • Mashed potato
  • Asda Smart Price Frozen Peas, to serve
Method
  • Pre-heat the oven to 160C/140C Fan/Gas 3. Dry fry the pork steaks in a pan until lightly browned on all sides. Transfer to a casserole dish, leaving the fat in the pan.

  • Add the bacon, onion and celery to the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add to the pork along with the herbs.

  • Add the apple juice, vinegar and mustard to the pan and heat until simmering. Pour over the meat, cover and cook in the oven for 40 minutes.

  • Mix the cornflour with 2 tbsp cold water until smooth, then stir into the meat. Cook for a further 5 minutes. Serve with the mash and peas.
