Lemon and elderflower fizz

This sweet and sharp gin cocktail topped up with prosecco makes the perfect summer tipple. Cheers!

Lemon and elderflower fizz
  • Cook: 5 Mins
    plus freezing

  • Serves: 1

  • 2 pieces lemon zest, made using a vegetable peeler
  • 25ml Asda Extra Special Triple Distilled Premium Gin
  • 15ml elderflower cordial
  • 10ml lemon juice
  • 50ml prosecco
  • Place the glass, either a Champagne saucer or Champagne flute, in the freezer for at least 10 mins to frost over.

  • Add the gin, elderflower cordial and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 1 min.

  • Take the glass out of the freezer. Rub one piece of lemon peel around the rim of the glass to coat with the peel's fragrant oils.

  • Strain the cocktail into the glass and top up with prosecco. Garnish with another strip of lemon peel. Serve immediately.
