Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 15g butter
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 250g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
  • 454g pack Asda British Cumberland Sausages
  • 400g can Asda Chopped Tomatoes with Herbs
  • 400g can Asda Green Lentils, drained
  • Mashed potato, to serve
  • Vegetables, to serve
Method
  • Heat the oil in a large pan, then add the onion and cook until soft. Add the butter, garlic and mushrooms, and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are cooked through and most of the juices have evaporated. Meanwhile, grill the sausages until they’re cooked and nicely browned.

  • Add the chopped tomatoes and lentils to the onion mixture and stir well. Put the sausages on top and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

  • Serve with mashed potato and your choice of vegetable.
