Almond and orange liqueurs recreate the flavours of the classic Easter cake

Simnel cake fizz

  • 50ml amaretto
  • 30ml Cointreau
  • Juice ½ lemon
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 200ml Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Ginger Beer
  • 30g Asda Golden Marzipan
  • Extra ground cinnamon, to serve
  • Put the amaretto, Cointreau, lemon juice and a pinch ground cinnamon into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until very cold.

  • Fill 2 tumblers with ice and strain over the cocktail. Top up with the ginger beer.

  • Roll the marzipan into 4 balls. Thread 2 each on 2 cocktail sticks and dust with a little ground cinnamon. Rest on the glasses before serving.
