Ingredients
  • 4tbsp maple syrup
  • 1tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 x 305g packs Asda Southern Fried Chicken Mini Fillets
  • 150g plain flour
  • ½tsp baking powder
  • 2tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100ml low-fat natural yogurt
  • 100ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 30g butter, melted
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7. Heat a waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Mix together the syrup and sriracha in a small bowl and set aside.

  • Cook the chicken fillets in the oven according to the pack instructions.

  • Meanwhile, mix the flour, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl. Stir the eggs, yogurt, milk and melted butter in a jug. Pour over the flour mixture and mix with a balloon whisk until you have a smooth, thick batter.

  • Pour 1 ladleful of the batter into the waffle maker and cook for 8 mins, or according to the manufacturer’s instructions, until golden and crisp. Repeat with the rest of the batter to make another 3 waffles.

  • Divide the waffles between 4 plates and top with the chicken. To serve, drizzle with the spicy syrup.
