The best ever bacon sandwich
- 2 rashers thick back bacon
- 50g mushrooms, sliced
- 15g butter
- 2 slices Asda Bakers Gold white bread
- 1 dollop brown sauce (or ketchup)
- 1 large free-range egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp oil
Cook the bacon in a non-stick frying pan, turning once. Put on a plate. Fry the mushrooms in a pan with half the butter until golden.
Spread one slice of bread with brown sauce or ketchup. Top with the bacon, then the mushrooms and put the other slice of bread on top.
Lightly beat the egg and milk in a bowl and pour onto a large plate. Put the sandwich in the egg and leave for 1 minute on each side.
Heat the rest of the butter and the oil in the pan and fry the sandwich for one more minute on each side.
Lift out with a spatula and serve.
