  • 2 rashers thick back bacon
  • 50g mushrooms, sliced
  • 15g butter
  • 2 slices Asda Bakers Gold white bread
  • 1 dollop brown sauce (or ketchup)
  • 1 large free-range egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Cook the bacon in a non-stick frying pan, turning once. Put on a plate. Fry the mushrooms in a pan with half the butter until golden.

  • Spread one slice of bread with brown sauce or ketchup. Top with the bacon, then the mushrooms and put the other slice of bread on top.

  • Lightly beat the egg and milk in a bowl and pour onto a large plate. Put the sandwich in the egg and leave for 1 minute on each side.

  • Heat the rest of the butter and the oil in the pan and fry the sandwich for one more minute on each side.

  • Lift out with a spatula and serve.
